High pressure centered at the mid-latitudes dominates the north
central Pacific this weekend through next week.
A tropical wave moves west away from the islands, bringing the
deep layer moisture with it.
Trade winds slowly increase in magnitude ahead of the surface
ridge this weekend and remain moderate in magnitude through at
least midweek. The somewhat moist trade flow maintains widely
scattered windward terrain/mountain focused showers through the
weekend and early next week. Local enhancements may occur as a
tropical wave approaches and passes mid to late week.
